Schedule report?

Hello All,

Is there a way to have BO send a report only when there’s data? I’m wanting a way for a report to send only if there is data for certain dates, if no data is found, then it doesn’t send it.

if you schedule from the CMC, you can send notification on success / failure - I always thought “Do Data” counted as an error, so you would send on Success, with data.

If that’s not true, you need to generate an error on no data - something divided by rowcount should generate a divide by zero error.

Just a couple ideas, there should be more here on Bob if you search…

You need to get to the report in CMC, not Webi - from the CMC the schedule a report interface lets you add “Notification” - that becomes your email destination for that reports - make sense?

Notification is done for successful and non-successful runs, different messages and audiences for either / both. You just want to make sure you catch the successes, with data, and send them to your customers.

It’s just like normal scheduling besides this, frequency, output, run as user, etc.
