Recently, I have been getting more and more calls from users because they
are unable to send documents to each other through the internal list of
users. When I scan the document repository I get multiple error messages as
follows:
Starting scan …
Loading obj_m_documents
Loading obj_x_document
The document 34 in the document domain is not referenced in the security
domain.
The document 35 in the document domain is not referenced in the security
domain.
The document 36 in the document domain is not referenced in the security
domain.
The document 37 in the document domain is not referenced in the security
domain.
The document 38 in the document domain is not referenced in the security
domain.
The document 39 in the document domain is not referenced in the security
domain.
The document 40 in the document domain is not referenced in the security
domain.
The document 41 in the document domain is not referenced in the security
domain.
The document 33 in the document domain is not referenced in the security
domain.
Operation successful.
When I perform a Repair, it will delete all the documents and the problem is
cleared. The only problem here is that some of the documents it deletes
could be canned repository queries, and when the users try to open the
copies of these documents from their local userdocs directory they get an
error message that they do not have rights to the document any longer.
- Why do the documents lose their reference to the security domain?
- Is this a bug?
- Is there any other way to resolve this than performing a Repair and risk
deleting canned reports?
I would appreciate your suggestions. We are currently using 4.1.2, version
7.3 of Oracle.
Thanks!
