Does anyone know how a Web Intelligence report can be saved as an HTML file, to be made available (with all its WebI formatting) on a Web Site. The idea is to generate a report in WebI and make it available to viewers who are not set up as WebI/Infoview/Business Objects users. Thanks,

You can do this with the standard full client version using the “Save as HTML” function. The files can then be moved to a site where anyone with a browser can get to the files. We have several reporting systems like this where users have NO BusObj license or access (viewers only don’t need it).

Thanks for your responses.
I think I will resort to using the full client. It is ironic that a Web version of Business Objects does not allow one to save a report as an HTML page.
Your replies:
You can simply Cut and Paste the report from the Browser (HTML viewer) into something like Word and then save it as a HTML file. Jeff Chrismon

Actuall, it’s not surprising. WebI is a self-contained secure reporting environment. One of the big benefits of it is that HTML pages are not lingering around on your severs. Using full-client with Broadcast Agent is simple and effective. Since BO already had a solution for HTML publishing, why make WebI do it?
Set your options to HTML instead of using the Active X control.
Open your report and right click anywhere in the report and click View Source This will open notepad/wordpad and you can file–save as from here but you MUST postfix the file name with .html. GL
