SAP 4.2 SP 9 patch 8 Creating its own folder after patched

After patching our SAP BO 4.2 SP9 to SPA BO 4.2 SP9 Patch 8, i see it is creating a new folder. My original folder is named as SAP BO and is installed in D drive, but after patching to patch8, i see a new folder is created named SAP BusinessObjects. Could anyone please explain why its creating a new folder instead just adding the patch to the original folder that is SAP BO.

OR you think creating the base version folder with SAP BO name was a mistake ?

it should not be a mistake but no one -except the support. can confirm if is a mistake or another million-first bug…
I dont remember now if during patch installation there is suggested path or not… which should be checked/confirmed… we have it on D: drive \SAP businessobjects\
