Same user in two groups but with restrictions

Hi,
Sorry to repeat the question which was discussed many times before.
But i need a specific answer to my requirement.

I have a user User1, added to two groups (group1 and group2)
User1 has full access to Universe1 under group1 but the same user1 has a row level restrictions applied under group2(for same universe1).

I want to know the effective right user1 has on that universe1???

Please let me know…

Hi,

As soon as a user has access to a universe in one of his group he will have access to it. If he has a row level restriction applied on this universe this restriction will be applied in all his group.

From the Supervisor FAQ: How are rights granted if a user is in multiple groups?

You should have tried a Search first, and also checked FAQs, as you’d see from Asking Smart BOB Questions, a hyperlink available every time you start a new topic.
