If you do a simple search on row level security, you can find many discussions on this topic.

In r2, there are 3 ways to do row level security:

1. In Business View
2. In Universe
3. In data mart

I strongly suggest you to do that in your data mart and not in the Business Objects application. Please read my post under the following thread for detailed explanation…

Hi, Access rights to BO XI R2 objects created for reporting purpose. i.e A sample report is to be seen by different users in different countries. A user from country X should not be able to see the report data of Y country. I think this access control should be done at the object level not at the User Creation level.
