We want to upgrade BI 4.0 from BI XI 3.1 in couple of months.
I’m preparing a Impact Assessment document. Please help me preparing that document by telling me the risks that you have faced after the upgrade and what else i need to consider.

A) New chart engine for charts in Webi
B) No Deski anymore, period (requires conversion to Webi or manual re-write in Crystal Reports)
C) Custom Coding/SDK, not sure what has changed with respect to SDK
D) New interface/GUI for Webi (training end-users)
E) Direct access to SAP BEx queries from Webi now possible (no universes needed)
etc. etc.

E) Import Wizard is no longer available. LCM will replace promotion between CMS. You need to redefine your backup strategy and your promotion process.
F) New license model following SAP (profiles)
G) Upgrade Management Tool to upgrade from XI3 to BI4
