For a there are duplicates row for fundid and investorid. now b is having both fund,investor and revenue information. so its working fine. c is the detail table of b. c is having information on the basis of fund and callno. so i am joing b with c on fund and callno. now i am querying a->c on the basis of fund and revenue. Its getting multiplied by no. of investors as fund having no. of investors in duplicate table.
What you described is called a fan trap in a universe. Have a look at this Designer’s FAQ that describes what the fan trap is and provides a solution how to solve it:
So you need to have an access to the universe that the report is built on and to check whether you really have a fan trap there. If it’s there then you need to fix it.
