[Resolved] SSO in CMC

Hi,

SAP BI4.1 SP6, on Red Hat 6.4 (CMS oracle 11g).

I have set up the SSO on the BI4 environnement for the Enterprise authentication.
I can log (with http header or query string) in the BI Launchpad.
But it doesn’t work on the CMC.

I’ve read a lot of topic here about the sso, but i don’t have find the answer to this question :
Can we set up the SSO for the CMC ?

According to the admin guide, it’s possible :

Enterprise authentication to the BI launch pad and CMC is available out of the box. SSO with enterprise authentication to the BI launch pad and CMC requires Trusted Authentication

I haven’t tried it myself, but I intend to soon in a test environment.

Hi joepeters,

I can’t access the url (I’m logged in to sap website, but i’ve a 403 error).
I don’t find the release note of the FP on the SAP website, only the Service Pack release notes. Did i miss something ?

Ok, it works !

So, the steps are these :

On the client side, cache has to be cleared before the initial CMC setup. Else, the Enterprise authentication method will be cached.

On Tomcat server, perform the below mentioned steps:
1.On a system already configured for SSO for BILP, go to C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\tomcat\webapps\BOE\WEB-INF\config\custom.
2.Create a file CmcApp.properties and mention

sso.supported.types=vintela, trustedIIS, trustedHeader, trustedParameter, trustedCookie, trustedSession, trustedUserPrincipal, trustedVintela, trustedX509, sapSSO, siteminder
authentication.default=secWinAD (I try with secEnterprise)

in that file.

3.Restart tomcat.
SSO for CMC is enabled.

Curious - did you actually have to clear the browser cache for it to work?

No, i don’t have clear my browser cache.
I use the http header method for SSO.

I test Google Chrome with ModHeader plugin.
I test Internet Explrer with Fiddler4.
