Requirements for new BO environment

I got a job as business object architect for brand new business object environment. Basically I have to start from scratch like what kind of BO version we have to use, license requirement …etc.could anybody please help me from where I have to start ,what kind of information I need to gather and what kind of documents I have to prepare. Please guide me.

bo edge = SME
bo enterprise = bigger corporation

read the PAR document from the SAP website and pick your hardware accordingly
