We are using BO XI R2 SP4 and oracle 10g.
we have few reports running slowly and data in each report is around 70K to 72K rows. Each report is taking around 12- 15 mins to run/ refresh.
There are few prompts/ variables/ calculations/ merged dimensions in the reports.
I am trying to set up Aggregate awareness/ Index awareness. however, am in confusion to decide which is best one that will improve the report performance.
Can anyone please suggest me which one to select to speedup the report execution. And are there any other ways to tune the reports.
You can use the Aggregate awareness if you have some aggreate table in your database. As per my understanding from your query your report is detail report (as you are getting 70k rows.) so if it is detail then no scope for the aggregate awareness.
I am not sure about index awareness. could you plesae little bit elaborate about this.
