Report with Prompts to BCA

Hi My report has prompts & I need to schedule it on BCA on version 5.1, also I have a peculiar problem I need to distribute this reports (actually parts of it) to different locations in the country eg LosAngeles, Houston,Baltimore etc , so my 2nd question is how do I add row level security & also these reports dont need to be e-maild the need to be printed at those particular offices, also how can I ensure that they have been printed, also I have figured out that I need to write VB Macro for the same ,but I have never written any macro for Business Objects , If you guys have any idea abt any program similar please help me

Regards

Are you talking about Webi report? (You posted in a Webi forum) If so, you can’t use VBA.

Row level security is set up the same no matter what type of report you use. It’s configured in Supervisor. (Or possibly in Designer, Steve Krandel did a presentation on that.)

Let’s figure out what the most important question is, and get your question moved to the appropriate forum. I think you need to break this down into more discrete questions… you’ve essentially asked for help in designing an entire system rather than ask a specific question. So far you have asked about VBA, BCA, SDK, Supervisor and/or Designer, all in one question, and in the Webi forum. So for now I’ll move this to General Discussion until we figure out where it needs to be. Thanks.

For starters, I’m going to move this to the BCA forum, but we may move it to SDK forum.

Do you own the SDK? This is all a moot point if your don’t

what do u mean by “Own the SDK”, I can see the SDK option in my
supervisor , is there any thing else I need to clarify

Guys I still need answer to how to get that report to print at different locations I have tried to break question into parts as sugested but I guess the moderators have found it to be cross posting , sorry for that but if I could get answer to question I posted on SDK forum that would be great

Owning the SDK means you have paid for Developer Suite. You are not allowed to use the API unless you own the product. It is not cheap. You also won’t be able to get the documentaion for the SDK unless you have a valid license for it.
