my report takes too much time to refresh.how can we get around this?

Do you have multiple data providers and/or alot of variables?
You can ask your DBA to create indexes to optimize performance.

I believe that you’ll have to provide more detail than that to get a useful answer. Is the refresh time on the database side? If so, send the SQL to your DBA and have then look. If you are bringing too many rows back to the document then you may need to talk to your universe designer. If you have too many variables or lots of data providers (both already mentioned in an earlier reply) then you may need to review how the report was built.
But “too much time” is way too generic. 
It’s like telling a mechanic “My car won’t start” and expecting to get an accurate response.
