We created a FC report with 5 tabs, which was occupying 20 MB space. On investigating why this report is occupying 20 M, we deleted all the tabs and queries, the report (which is literally empty) is still occupying around 20MB! 
Also, We are getting a error messages while opening such big reports through Infoview.
Has any one come across similar problems?

Your report probably has “phantom data providers” – if you delete a query (data provider) before you purge the data provider – that data may still be in your rep file, taking up the space.

You can use one of the tools in BOB’s download section such as this one to copy your data providers into a new Business Objects document. You can then save the old “bloated” Business Objects document as a template and apply the template to your new Business Objects document.
