Report in a Excel format

Hi,

Iam using BO 5.1.7.Is it possible to download the report in excel format?Is this supported in this version?If so, How to do this?

Hi,
in BO 5.1.7 you can only export the dataproviders’ data in XLS format. So no formatting.

The whole report (with all formatting) can be saved into XLS format from the BO 6.x.

Click on the “cube” button on the toolbar.
Click the desired data provider from the list on the left.
Click the Export button on the screen.
Select XLS as the output.

This will create an XLS file with the raw data only, no formatting / variables / etc. will be included. The typical work-around for the lack of Save as XLS in versions prior to 6 is to save the file as HTML and import the HTML into Excel.

You would have seen much of this had you read the FAQ prior to asking your question…
