Report elements of 5.1.x/2.7.x(.rep/.wqy) into xml/.csv

Dear Friends,

Could we read metadata of any fullclient report and Webi report of 5.1.X/2.7.X versions?

Is there any VBA/Java Script where I could read all the .rep/.wqy report Elements and put them in XML or CSV?

Is there any ‘total list’ of elements of FC/WebI reports ?

Please Help!

There is a utility List objects in a report in BOB downloads designed by Dwayne Hoffpauir.
Its for full client, for WebI you need to do a search

Thanks Haider!

Well Could I capture all the metadata of the .rep/.wqy and put them into XML or .CSV ?

Do i need to Buy any additional Licensing or Devoleper suite to acheive this?

You can save the .rep to XLS and then to CSV.
Not sure about XML

Thanks for your response Haider.

My Objective : Working on a Migration Project from BO to CognosI need to export all the report objects of 5.1.X/2.7.X into an CSV.

My previous Experience: Worked as an Technical Engineer for BO Sanjose
team product support , Currently working in India as an Architect in DW
Steps I did follow:

-Installed BO 5.1.9, Created Repo tables in an MDB(login : superpwd visor)
-Created a folder…Places one .rep prepared from Efashion and also ’ List Objects Used v5, v6.rep’ …opened it …refreshed it…

Its saying Error at line 13:

Set dpCube = DefineCube(dpInterface.DpVBACubes(1))
PathName = ThisDocument.Path & “”

Thanks.

Any specific error message.
Highlighting error on the first line
Are you able to open eFashion.rep interactively
Check if all the library references are in place from tools-references (VBA editor)
