Regarding use of Alias and contexts

Hi,

During my interviews, I usually come across a question -

“When to use a context and when to use an alias”
or
“Which one you prefer to resolve a join problem - a context or an alias”

Can anyone provide me the answer for the same with proper description - like when to go for an alias and when to go for a context?
