The build version of BO XI Enterprise can be obtained from the Settings area of the CMC. Build version of individual services can be obtained from the CCM. For client tools (Designer, DeskI, etc.), right click on the executables (BusObj.exe, Designer.exe, etc.) and choose Properties → Versions. (For a Windows installation, the executables are installed at the following path: \win32_x86). I believe there is something with this build that prevents the mechanism you’re trying to institute from working, as so far you’re the fourth person I’ve heard from who can’t make it work, and the commonality is version 12.3.0.601.

So apologies - I guess the only solution would be to upgrade to a later service pack or fix pack - but I can’t tell you which version to opt for - needs a poll really to see who has instituted this mechanism, and what version(s) they use?
