Rapid Marts Performance Tuning ?

Hi all,
We have recently installed the BusinessObjects Sales Rapid Mart for SAP 11.5.5.1 at our client’s Place. We are having lot of issues while loading the data. hb: The Rapid mart is taking 14.5 hrs to laod 1 business day’s data(1gb data). The rapid mart is installed on Sql server 2005. Please find the following Details of rapid Mart.

Rapid Mart : Sales Module
Dataservices 3.1
Sql server 2005

Please any suggestions to fine tune the Rapid marts,sql server 2005 is appreciated

Tuning requires much more depth and detail beyond what you’ve provided here, and is to some degree specific to each environment.

The first thing I would do is run the standard DI performance test that Werner has set up, and compare your results with others.

That will help us know if there’s a problem with your infrastructure.

We have installed SAP GL Rapid Mart (3.2),for the first load it took around 4 hours to complete (13 months data almost 10 GB)

As recommended (as per documentation) we have remove “Table Comparison” from certain data flows for the first data load,it went fine.

Now when we perform the DELTA load(less then 1 GB) (put the Table comparison back) for one Business Day data the job took 72 hours and was still running … isn’t it very strange …

Another thing that I noticed was the row count for dataflows was reached up 250000 … (remember this is Delta Load for one Business Day)

Any clue how to boost the Job performance during DELTA Load…
