Querying the repository

Hi Friends

Does the name of the object, class and description associated with it get stored in the repository.
I would like to query the repository to get this information for each universe.
How can I do this ?

Pls help
Thanks

What backend are you using? SQL Server, Oracle… something else?

Have a great holiday!

I am using Oracle as backend
I can see a host of tables starting with
‘CI%’
‘OBJ_M%’
‘SET_%’
‘UNV_%’

But cannot make if any table holds the information which I want.

Thank you

You can use the ManagerO universe to get the information that you need. It’s already built based on Oracle, so all you have to do is add the connection, and build some queries.

You can find managero on CD’s (freeware). This universe is only based on universe domain tables unv_.

Note that ManagerO is designed for V5. While ManagerO will still work (I think) with v6.x repositories, there have been a few additions to the repository tables. If you are on 6.5, you can find the latest documentation here with a tech support ID.
