I am trying to add a query prompt to a report. However it is grayed out for me. Is there a setting in supervisor I can set to get this option enabled?
thanks

So you are in the query panel and have successfully put an object into the condition box and selected an operator? In the list of operands on the left hand side you can see ‘Type a new prompt’ and ‘Show list of prompts’ but they are greyed out?

Actually I need to do it on the report side. So I am in the results set. I am trying to go to Insert => Speical Field=> Query Prompt. But it is grayed out.

How many prompts do u have in the report query?
Query Prompt option will only be enabled if your query is having any prompt in it.

I don’t have any prompts in the query panel. I am trying to add about 5 on the report side.
In the past all I had to do was go to Insert => special field=> Query prompt and I was able to create a prompt. However since I upgraded to 6 that option is grayed out to me. I figured it was something in supervisor that needs to be turned on and is turned off to me.

Nevermind. I was having some trouble thinking. I forgot I need to enter it into the query panel first.
thanks for the help though!
