Query Builder Issue

Hi All,

I am new to BO…I just wanted to know from where I can install Query Builder in my system…as I need to check binding of Reports.

You don’t have to install Query Builder separately. It is there in the Infoview.

Query builder is normally installed with the AdminTools.war in XIR3 and admin.war in XIR2.

in XI R3 the url is:

http://:/AdminTools

in XI R2 it is available from the launchpad.

Can you be more specific…i am using R2 and In Infoview i am not able to see the link for Query builder.

When you open the infoview link, on left hand side panel, you will see a link for “Query Builder”. Can you please check if it is available…

in XI R2 it is available from the launchpad, on the left hand side and is not available from Infoview!

Very true. My mistake. I should be very precise when you are asking for navigation. Anyways thanks HRS for defining the exact path.

And then in Administrative Tool, “Query Builder” in it.

Hi All,

I have a doubt now regarding the Query to be used in Query Builder

Can you please give me the query to find out bound and unbound reports in Infoview related to a particular universe and how to get the si_id and all the related Information.

you can try using the excel provided here

This will tell you which reports access a particular universe and vice versa. However there is a flaw in the BO strategy of providing this data, in which not all the universe/reports are linked - so be weary of this when using it.
