sometimes when I purge the data from a document and save it, the size is still 2-3-4 MB. This doesn’t makes sense for an empty document. It should contain only the data definition and the criteria.
Is there a way to really purge the info?

I think you are using Business Objects verison prior to BO 5.1.4 .
In the previous verisons of BO there wasa bug due to which if you delete dataproviders without purging them then the data gets embedded in the report.

No, I’m using 5.1.6
But it’s possible that this report was created before we upgrade. Maybe I did remove a data provider.
btw, I have tried the data provider duplicator from integra, and everytime, BO crash.
anyway, thanks for the hint, I will make sure I purge my dataprovider before deleting them in the future.

Was the “bug” really fixed after 5.1.4? I’d thought that users of 5.1.6 and 5.1.7 had also experienced it.

Try the one from BOB’s Downloads, it is much newer and more likely to work. The one on the Integra site has not been updated in quite some time.
