Has anybody experienced problems with reports upon upgrading from 4.1 to
4.1.4?
We are unable to open the report file, with the following error being
generated in BO and reported by Dr Watson;
Exception Number c0000005 (Access Violation)
This works on 3 machines in 4, the only difference being the one machine it
works on has local admin rights. (All machines running NT 4, SP3 or SP4)
Does BO require a specific level of access rights before it will run or do
we have to go back to 4.1 or even ditch the work done so far?
Also, we have some reports which contain multiple tables. A formula will
work in some tables, presenting results, but will not work in others,
displaying blanks!
BO representative said “the service pack will fix that”, but it didn’t. Any
ideas?

Are you sure it’s not a NT problem? We very often encounter NT problems (bugs in
Jet-engine, drivers, configuration, rights, etc) being the reaon for
BusinessObjects to crash…
