Hello Erich,

We have had the same problem on 2 or 3 machines when we upgraded them to
Windows NT. The permissions on the BO-directories were incorrect. The
user
needs to have full access to the BO-directory and all sub-directories.

Hope this helps,

This doesn’t appear to be our problem. Any other suggestions?

Erich,
Try checking the location of bomain.key and objects.lsi/ssi. Check to
see if the are in the same location as a machine that works properly. You
will also need to check where BusinessObjects on that machine is looking
for them. You can either find this in the registry or by running the setup
program. If using the setup method, click on the modify button in the
lower right hand corner. This will show you where is is looking for these
files.
When we had similair problems, this is what we used to resolve them.

Do your users have write access to the directory where objects.lsi/ssi is located?
They need WRITE access to these files. Perhaps this is your problem. Sounds to me
as there were something wrong with user-rights on filesystems/network drives?
