I have been experiencing a printing problem myself…unlike those mentioned. On some of my reports, it is too inconsistent to pinpoint it, some cells (blank and those with values) are printing with solid black fill. For example, I have a cell on the bottom of reporta with the formula ="Page " + Page() + " of " + NumberOfPages() + " - Prepared by - " + CurrentUser()
When I print this 5 page report, this cell is solid black on page 3, 4 and 21, but not on the rest of the 21 pages of the complete report.
I am using an HP LaserJet 5N using the correct printing drivers (verified by HP). Another odd thing is that on my NT workstation machine, this black fill is more common and happens more frequently and to more cells on the same report.
Any ideas?

I have experienced this problem before. Most of the time the whole report is black but I’ve always been able to fix it. Try this:
Go to your printers properties and look at the detail tab, go to spool settings and make sure it is set to RAW not EMF. If this doesn’t work, then also take a look at the graphics tab, try using vector graphics, versus rastor graphics or vice/versa.
We are running into a problem in Webi, we are unable to print any reports off to our HP8000 printer. Does anyone have any info on this problem or is it just a freak thing that is happening to us?
Could be a driver issue. We had to change the driver for our HP4050 printers to use the HP Laser Jet 4 driver or we couldn’t print from Webi. Also had an outside user have the same issue. Joanne
I think that there is a Knowledge Base entry on this type of printer.
We also had trouble with our networked HP4050 printers - apparently only the NT drivers were loaded. Once the Win95 driver was installed we were able to print from Webi.
I don’t know if this will help or not but we are experiencing a lot of problems printing from WebI. BO informed me that every printer used to print WebI documents needs to have its correponding print driver defined on the server in which WebI resides. If your HP8000 has not been set up on the server that may be the problem.
