Hi i am looking to get the data for the 2 days privious data.
i.e when i run the report now (01-Nov-2010) i should see the data which is of date (29-oct-2010).
My thinking was create a universe level filter kind of trunc(sysdate - 2) is this correct?
I tried it and gets no data.

You’re on the right track. If you look at the stickies and do some searches, you’ll find hundreds of posts on this topic.

Top post in this forum. Gives you all the date codes/formulae for SQL server & Oracle
As per this topic on Oracle relative dates, here’s the same set of dates in SQL Server.
Please note that some may not work on SQL Server 2000, but all definitely work in 2005/8.
Yesterday
cast(convert(char(10),dateadd(d,-1,getdate()),23) as datetime)
Today
cast(convert(char(10),getdate(),23) as datetime)
The following also works for today:
dateadd(dd, datediff(dd,0,getdate()), 0)
Start of Current Month
cast(convert(char(7),getdate(),23)+'-01' as datetime)
End of Current Month
dateadd(d,-1…
A search gave me these:

Hi Gurus,
I need to create an object like this ( sysdate -2years) i.e I should get the result like this. If the sysdate is 10/19/2010 the result set should be 10/19/2008. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Sukumar
