When refreshing our Desktop Intelligence reports, we get a message box when one or more data-providers did not return any results. The message looks like an error message to the user and we would like to turn this ‘feature’ off if possible. We have logic in the report to print a message if the report does not contain any data.
Since this faq is from 2003, this is intended for versions previous to XIR2. The odd thing is… I don’t experience this behavior in my 6.5 installation (and I am not doing anything special) unless somewhere along the line I disabled it and forgot that I did so…
Please check your 6.5 reports for “anything special.” Desktop Intelligence in XIr2 is essentially BusinessObjects 6.5 updated for architectural differences only. The product is virtually unchanged functionally, so the 2003 FAQ entry is just as applicable.
