An user has asked me if there is a way to put a fixed filter whenever someone run a report.
Here 's the reason: we have client’s turnover at the database, and it’s easy to forget to filter the currency (US$ or R$), otherwise the turnover measures will be summed up for the two currencies.
I think we need a clearer explanation. If you want a certain condition used WHENEVER you hit a certain table, you can always add a self or stub join to the table.
Or you could use a prompt in the report or a prompt in a join or …
I have always used a stub join for this functionality. Search BOB or read the BO documnetation for a good explanation. You may need to alias the table if you need the capability to use both currencies.
I forgot to tell you that the filter must be attached to the user´s profile. No matter what kind of report he builds by himself, he´s obligated to filter the currency, even when he forgets do do it.
