Paper on the Performance and Scalability

Does anyone know good papers on the Performance and Scalability of BODI in comparison with other ETL vendors? I’d be very interested in that!

Hi,

Check this post on ETL tools comparison. It is very hard to get that kind of information. However, it is often available from each vendor (at least for partners) through some sort of Non Disclosure Agreement…

Thank! I already read the Forrester report. The problem is that the paper is at least 2 years old. Anyone has some experience with Cognos Data Manager and its performance/scalability?

Data Manager is just a new name for the old Decision Stream. You cannot really call that an ETL tool, its strenght is exclusively building dimensional cubes for PowerPlay.

There was a presentation during the recent user conference comparing DI to Informatica.

Yeap, Stacy talked about the reasons why the looked into DI even, what they found and why they move even existing jobs over to DI over the time. In short:

Ease of use: DI much simpler to use, thus modification take less time
Performance: In all tests made DI performed better. Not much in many cases but still.
RapidMarts: shortens projects even more
