I have a report with a couple of sections and I’d like each section to begin on a new page (not an unreasonable request, I thought…). In the Section Format for New-Page-Down, I checked Start on New Page. Nothing happened, I still get both sections on the same page.
Then, I changed the Cross Tab format so that the Cross Tab also has New-Page-Down, Start on New Page checked. I even did it for New-Page-Across just for fun…again, I don’t get each section on a new page.
Am I missing something here? Is there a way to just stick a new page anywhere on a report?

Just a quick thought:
Are you checking with print preview? by actual printing? by View Layout?
If you continue to review your document in “normal mode” then you will not see the paging working. In other words, you may think you have a problem when you really don’t. Hopefully it’s just this simple…
As a followup… I was checking with print preview, by printing, and by screaming at my PC. I received the following from our BO contact:
Essentially there seems to be an issue with the product. The print each section on a different page only works if you do not fiddle with the print to fit or shrink parameters. If you do the sectional printing is ignored. I logged this as a possible bug/enhancement request last night.
I did indeed at one point use the ‘fit to page’ option (and once you’ve done that, there’s no going back - even if you go back to “100%”). From my (very little) experience lately, it seems best to leave all page break formatting to the very end…
