Oracle Financials 11i RDT

Hi,
I am sure many of you guys might have implemented Oracle Financials 11i Rdts. There is some problem with GL universe. If you check the Intercompany transactions context it shows one loop and none of the objects from Intercompany class works. If anybody has successfully implemented OF11i GL universe please help me out

I’m not sure what version of Oracle your running but keep in mind those RDT’s have been out there for quite a while (I think the last update on GL was Aug/2001). Sorry, we are not currently using GL but we have implemented several others and in most instances some changes were required. They provide an excellent starting point or template but ultimately custmizations/modifications willl need to be made.

On a side note, when you say the “Intercompany objects” do not work, what exactly is the problem. Are they not parsing?

The RDT’s for Oracle are just fine. Oracle has been on release 11.i for 2 to 3 years and has only done point releases over that time. There have been no major changes to any of the schema gl,ap, ar,oe,inventory,pa. So they are as good as gold!

You can ignore that message. It is erroneous. There is a join in the unv that confuses designer. I can assure you that the universe does what it is supposed to. I have implemented that unv with many customers.

Hi,
I am using oracle 8.1.7. Journal & balances work perfectly fine and the results seems to be okay. None of the Objects work form the Intercompany class.
Secondly there is some problem with the roll up in GL module i.e. hierachies. Certain levels simply dont turn up.
e.g There is parent with a child which comes correctly. When I just have a parent level & no child attached to it. It simply doesent gives any information about this level. I think i might require an outer join but we cannot use outerjoins in between clause. Any ideas for this as well since you might have faced it ealier while deployment.

I wonder if you could help me with a related question…
Do you know if RDT’s are available for the Manufacturing Modules
(ie Inventory,BOM,etc) for Oracle Apps Release 11.10 ?

Any help greatly appreciated…

I think the OBM11i.zip is for the “Bills of Material and Costing” and the Oin11i.zip is for Inventory. But whether they are specifically for Release 11.10, I don’t know.

I’d suggest that you try to see what else is availalble – and always be aware that, since the OLTP tables are not optimized for reporting, that the pre-defined universes may not return the correct results for all possible queries.
