I’m working with Webi 6.0/DB2 (on OS390)
Can prompts be optional? By this I mean, I can put 2 prompts on a report and only have the user choose 1 or the other?

Simple answer: No.
You might want to take a look at this post in the Designer FAQ to get some ideas of a work-around.
Longer answer: essentially anything is possible via the SDK. But it’s a lot more work to implement, manage, and upgrade.
