openDocument: get iDocID

Hi,

I need to find the document ID of a report. From the BO manual:

Tip: To obtain the document ID, navigate to the document in InfoView, hover your mouse over the document name hyperlink, and look for the ID number in the browser’s status bar. You can also obtain the document ID from the Central Management Console.

(“Building Reports Using the Web Intelligence Java Report Panel”, page 535)

Unfortunately I can’t find the document ID in the CMC for this report; when placing the mouse cursor over the document I just can see a “javascript:void(0);” in the browser status bar.

Hi,

It is available in the CMC, look at the document properties.

It is the name of the last folder level before the document name in the FILENAME property:
In this example :
frs://Input/a_232/018/000/4840/cdz8c44e4e276ee885.wid

it is 4840 (&iDocId=4840)

Hi, I want to use the OpenDocument function but I am unable to find the iDocID for the relevant reports. I read in the BO documentation that you should be able to get it from the status bar by hovering over the report title in InfoView but all I see is ‘javascript:void(0);’ It also says that you should be able to retrieve the iDocID from the CMC but I cannot locate it under the objects properties.
