When I open a report and go into the query panel I get the message:
‘Some obsolete objects have been removed’
I have a general idea that this is something to do with the universe having
changed, but when I look at the universe the objects I see in the report lay
out and EXPECT to see in the query panel ARE in the universe.
Has it got something to do with which directories my reports and universes are
placed in , can anyone explain how this directory structure is viewed by BO.
According to BO Reporter and Designer help search the word ‘obsolete’ appears
nowhere!!
Actually BO Dataprovider stores, object ID (not object name). When you do
‘File/Save As’ on your universe it objects IDs in sequential order, so had
there been a hole in Object ID earlier, it would change the IDs in new
universe.
You are not talking about 'Linked Universe. Are you?
Or if you deleted an object then added it back, even with an identical name,
it will be there but the object ID will have changed I think.
