We are having space problems on the repository. We’ve created a universe to monitor the security and document domains. On the OBJ_M_DOCUMENTS table, there are 2 fields we are having problems deciphering. One of these is the document date field (M_DOC_N_DATE) which is numeric and contains a value that does not look like a date. Does anyone know how to interpret this value? Also, the document flag (M_DOC_C_FLAGS) contains “OO” for all of our records. What does this mean and what other possible values are there?
One of these is the document date field (M_DOC_N_DATE) which is numeric and contains a value that does not look like a date.
Could it be the same as the M_DOC_N_LAD (last action date) which is described in the Repository docs on the CD_ROM. The unit is elapsed seconds since the 15th of December 1970 at midnight.
(M_DOC_C_FLAGS) contains “OO” for all of our records. What does this mean and what other possible values are there?
This field is undocumented as are most of the fields in this table. We also have OO’s sitting there.
I would be interested in a copy of your “domain universe” to see how you monitor the domains.
( tom_verwey@csi.com ) . I’m looking for a report that lists all documents an user or group can retrieve, and another report that lists rights they have.

Here’s some info on our particular setup:
Product: Business Objects version 4.1.1
Database: Oracle version 7.3
Doc Agent Operating System: Windows NT 4.0
Middleware: Oracle SQL*Net version 95
Thanks for your input. We were able to use the benchmark date of December 15, 1970 to translate the document date values. We built a security and document domain universe to help us monitor space usage for the respective tables. After doing so, we found that there were many documents which had been retrieved or deleted from Document Agent that still appear to be taking up space on the security and document domain tables. We have not found a solution through Business Objects. Have you encountered similar space problems?
If you would like a copy of the universe we created to monitor our system, let us know and we will forward it to you.
