NT Authentication Driver

When trying to implement the NT authentication driver I get an error message
“The use of the Windows NT Authentication Driver is not allowed on other
operating systems”. I am not quite sure what the message means. I will
call tech support but I thought someone out there might have seen it before.

Thanks,

We are using Win95 on a NT network. We were under the impression that we
could use the NT authentication driver. Integra Solutions checked into this
for us and responded with the following:

“It seems that NT Authentication only works with NT clients, not Win95. I
checked with several clients that confirmed this. BusinessObjects later
responded, repeating the same conclusion. There may be the possibility of
authentication drivers for
Win95 / 98 - the BusinessObjects support engineer is still investigating
this claim.”

Hope this helps!

There are authentication drivers for win95/ win98. But they are some
security loop holes. A user can log on to Business OBjects without
logging on to the network and refresh queries in Business Objects. The
latest we heard from Business Objects is that they are not going to fix
it in the 4.x version but they will support it in the 5.x version.
Hope this helps.
