Multivalue error with a measure

We have a measure that reports expenditure numbers (EXP). When trying to report a summary level of EXP, it displays #Multivalue. I’ve seen fixes such as creating a variable based on detail dimensions but not with measures. It takes a while to request Bex query edits so is there a way I can do a fix on my end?

Within the universe, how is the measure defined?

  • what is the object’s definition?
  • what is the aggregate projection?

See my old, but detailed post on proper universe measures here, please: diff between Select SUM (Table. Field) & Select Table. F

Should you be accessing an SAP BEx query then:
a) Make sure you are using direct access from Webi to SAP BEx query (via BICS, meaning: NO old fashioned OLAP universe!)
b) Ensure your SAP BI BusOjects platform, installed SAP GUI/SAP DLLs and SAP BW are on a recent patch level such as: SAP BI BusObjects 4 SP6 with Patch 3, SAP GUI 730, and SAP BW 7.3 SPS9 I believe.

i can’t see those since i don’t have access unfortunately. they’re not universes, they’re flat bex queries.
