Hi All,

I wanted to know if monitoring of BO services from event viewer better or from the windows services, where it lists all the services as started. We want to set up the monitoring so that if any of the services goes down, we get an email notification. We have BO XI R2 on windows 2003 servers.

I successfully implemented this script written by alpha1145 (Jim McGregor). It works like a charm. Give it a try.

Hi Marek,

Thanks for your reply. But we are using foglight here. We need to set it up so it can check either windows services or event viewer. So my question is which one is better? I am not much familiar with how monitoring works with these tools.
