Sometimes this will happen when your column heading is the header line of a break and you change the break levels on the report i.e. delete, change the order etc. In the process of changing breaks, the header line for the break gets turned off and you lose the header.

This behaviour can also happen when creating variables. If the variable is not given a name, the column heading in which the variable resides will be blank.
Another situation in which I’ve encountered blank column headings is when a query is run, then the query panel revisited and another object(s) inserted into the query. When the query is next run, blank column headings occur whenever BusinessObjects automatically updates the report. By “automatically” I mean that you are not shown the window asking you if you want to leave the report as it is or see the data in a new report. We are using ver 4.1.1.

Yes, I have seen it a few times with Freehand SQL reports. BO 4.1.2a. I haven’t seen it on 4.1.1.
