Migrating WebI reports.

Is there any way to migrate WebI 2.5 reports from development to production repository?

Rahul,
My understanding is no! We have asked for that feature for some time and has not had adequate reply from Business Objects yet. Yelak

I haven’t tried the following procedure for doing moving documents, but it may work:

  1. Save the WebI report from Development as a Personal Document. 2. Find this saved copy in the user’s directory (development) on the server. 3. Duplicate the file (so that you keep a backup) and alter the file extension from *.wqy to *.bqy.
  2. Open the *.bqy file in BusinessObjects. 5. (This is the part I’m not sure about…) Save the file again as *.bqy but ensure it is “saved for all users.”
  3. Alter the *.bqy file back to *.wqy and move/copy it to the user’s directory (production) on the server.
  4. Open it in WebI Production. Fix the formatting (hmm, the side effect of doing all this is that you will lose your formatting), and save to the repository.

Good luck!

The solution from Luis does not worked. I tried this solution about three months back. The downsize to this solution is you will lose all the formatting in the WEBI report.
