We are planning to migrate BO repository either to SQL server or ORACLE platform. Currently, it is on UDB EEE 7.2/Unix platform. We have one main security domain, and several document/universe domains.
I would appreciate comment/tips, SQL Server vs Oracle, experience from our great BO community.

Both handle the repository with no real problems.
The one big advantage that you have with Oracle is the MANAGER0 universe that can report on the repository, although you may be bored enough at some point to convert this to SQL Server anyway. We’re on a SQL Server repos at the moment, but will have no qualms about moving to Oracle if the company standard changes.
Do you have any reference documents on Migration strategy from one database to another? I was planning to dump the repository data from old
database (UDB) to new one (SQL Server) and re-create the keys…
