Migrate information form one repository to another

I have an exisitng 5.1.8 application residing in it’s own repository, and I would like to combine the reports and universes and users into another existng repository. I think the process should be:

  1. Establish a new connection in the new repository for the connection which the old application uses

  2. Manually construct the groups and users from the old repo to the new one

  3. Go into designer using the old BOMAIN key and import the old universes, save them to my hard drive and then go back into designer under the new repsository and export the universe from my hard drive

  4. Go into Business Objects from the old repository and open the reports, save them to my hard drive. and then publsih them to the new repository.

Is there a more automated way, or is safer to do this manually.

Either way is OK, but doing manually is the safest I think…
