I set the Max. no of Tasks to 10. Then I sent 25 reports to DAS to be
scheduled at exactly the same time. (Actually it is 25 instances of same
report.) Now DAS starts 10 BO tasks first and keeps other 15 in ‘Delayed
Execution’ status. But each task takes much more time than when ‘Max no
of
Tasks’ was 4.Could this be because you are running so many instances of the same query?
I
know our database slows slightly when many tasks are in contention for the
same tables.
Another contention spot to watch, is the document domain
(just one table as you know) especially with big documents.
I would investigate this as well and maybe go for multiple document
domains as well when you go for multiple document agent servers.
