I am trying for some documentaion. I have gone through the forums here and based on comments like “use the manger universe that comes with the BO installation (assuming you are using Oracle)” have looked for this universe. Looked in Supervisor and on the BO cd’s. 
any ideas where i should be seeing this managerx universe?

It is actually managero not x, which might explain why you didn’t find it. On the version 5 cds it is located in a folder called ‘repostry’ under a folder called ‘Freeware’…and also here

The managerx universe is the former (way old) Informix version of managerO. “O” is Oracle, “X” was Informix, “S” was SQL Server, and so on from there. When the repository structure changed from 3.x to 4.0 they didn’t redevelop all of the manager universes, only the Oracle one.
