lov time and month year as date issues

Hi all,

I have converted month-year in the format 08/2008 to date
in the format mm/dd/yyyy in SQL server 2005 using the convert function.(101 format) so 08/2008 appears as 08/01/2008.

I had to do this so that it is recognized as a date and I can then use it in my report to do a ‘month-year’ between operation.

(1). Is it possible to do the between operation without converting month-year into date in the format mm/dd/yyyy?

(2). Also when I drag the converted object in the report - it shows up
correctly as 08/01/2008 but when I see the list of values in the prompt,

  • the default time of 12:00:00 AM is automatically inserted

Why does this happen - is there a database or BO.prm setting I need to change? How do I get rid of this default time and show only the date in the format mm/dd/yyyy like 08/01/2008 in lov?

Answer to these questions would be very helpful!

thanks
ajq
