Logic behind report variables?

Hello all–

Does anyone know if there is a way (and if so, how) to print out/download/anything the logic behind report variables other than by editing the variable itself? I’d like to show a user the logic behind his report and can copy and paste from each variable, but would rather not…

Thanks!

The SQL is available though Data/Edit and the SQL button.

For report variables as well as user objects? I know how to get it for user objects (the way you described), but didn’t think that works for report variables…

Thanks!

If you are using Oracle as your repository you could use the Manager0 universe distributed by BO. This UNV has classes for Universes in the repository, their classes and objects details. You could create a report in BO with the particular universe in your condition and query the classes/objects details like SELECT and WHERE clauses. good luck. daniel. cesca software
