how many cores are needed for load balancing
i.e. can you implement BOBJ load balancing between two boxes with sharing 1 core license

But to help; its been a while but I do believe you can install BOBJ on two boxes with a license purchase of only 1 core. But don’t quote me on this as I haven’t installed BO in quite a while…

Talk two whoever manages your SAP software contracts. The per-core metrics changed somewhere along the way; in 2008, I think.
Generally, you can use a single license for failover but not load balancing.

No, you would not be able to run load balancing with just a one core license. You would need another core license for the second server. I’m not sure that SAP is selling core based licenses any more as they are pushing the concurrent user licensing model.
