When we merge two dimensions, it gives a full outer join between 2 data providers, but if required to have either left/right outer join using merged dimensions how can we acheive tht?

Thanks for the reply prashant, but in this ppt, i couldnt find anywhere about the question I have asked or the link tht you have provided (how we can implement different joins with merged dimensions),
in this ppt , it is mentioned how to merge the dimensions, what could be the possible errors one can get after merging dimensions in BO 5.x and 6.x and how we can remove the null values using equality join.
If possible can you please more elaborate it.

A merged dimension will give you full outer join, if you are able to supress the rows with NULL value of either or both sides, you will be able to implement left outer join, right outer join or equi join.
