Hey Everyone,
I remember to see a post in the forum which talks about a setup option that ignores the platform detection option so that WebI 6 can be installed on Windows XP or any other platform which is not “Officially” supported.
If any one knows about this post can you please redirect me to the same. or if you know that setup parameter please let me know.

Hey I found it -
Everyone,
I tried installing 6.1b on my Windows 2000 SP4 server today. I do not get an option to install server products during installation?
Is this a license key issue? I am already working with a 2nd set of license keys from BO.
Any ideas how I can get the server software installed?
Thanks,

But don’t be surprised at all if it doesn’t work. It will work on Windows 2K Professional. But XP is a different animal.

Yes it does work but “occasionally” only.
Needs few restart to work and just one restart to go down again.
Anyway it was just for experiment sack, so doesn’t bother much.
